Microsoft Open License

Microsoft Open License is a software volume licensing program designed for corporate, government, charity, and academic customers purchasing as few as five licenses.

Microsoft Open License benefits include:

Discounts off full retail prices.

Rights to create a standard image and deploy it on multiple machines, and rights to transfer licenses from one machine to another.

Ability to obtain licenses through multiple locations from a worldwide reseller channel.

Ability to track licenses online.

Access to Software Assurance (SA) benefits, which help improve software resource planning and organizational productivity.

The Microsoft Open License program offers you three great ways to save on Microsoft products:

• Open Value offers customers simpler license tracking, greater control over the software upgrade cycle, and better software cost management. In addition, Open Value customers have access to Software Assurance benefits such as training, deployment planning services, and product support.

• Open License Business offers savings on estimated retail prices when you place an initial order for five or more licenses or one server processor license.

• Open License Volume may provide additional savings over Open License Business for organizations that need to make a larger initial up-front order in one or more product pools (applications, systems, servers).
